Ellie is a multidisciplinary theatre professional with over 30 years of experience as a director, choreographer, educator, and performer. Her work spans regional theatre, new development, and arts education, with a focus on collaborative leadership and dynamic, story-driven production.
She has contributed to more than 30 productions at Philadelphia’s Walnut Street Theatre, where she most recently appeared in Hay Fever and A Christmas Story. Her expertise in theatrical intimacy and violence choreography was featured in the theatre’s critically acclaimed production of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Ellie previously served as Director, Choreographer, and Theatrical Intimacy Coordinator in residence at Florida Studio Theatre. Her credits there include Bright Star, Something Rotten!, Charlotte’s Web, The Last Match, The Marvelous Wonderettes, the regional premiere of Network, and the world premiere of Visit Joe White Feather.
In addition to her directing and choreography work, Ellie is a producer. Recent projects include the co-creation of the cabaret For the Record for Walnut Street Theatre Development and a self-produced adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein by David Catlin. (www.centercitystage.com)

An accomplished educator, Ellie has served as a lecturer in Musical Theatre and Dance at Rutgers University and leads master classes at regional theatres nationwide, mentoring artists with the same rigor, curiosity, and care that define her creative practice.
